El Albir is only 50 km from Alicante, 7 km from Benidorm and 144 km from Valencia, and is therefore an easily accessible destination.
L’ Albir is the most inhabited population centre of the municipality of Alfaz del Pi. It is in the Province of Alicante, Valencian Community, Spain. It is adjacent to the Sierra Helada and in turn to Benidorm. Its population lives almost exclusively from tourism in the area.
Albir Beach is situated two kilometres from the town centre of Alfaz del Pi.
This pebble beach is bordered to the north by the beach of Cap Blanc and to the south by the Sierra Helada and has a length of 500 metres, with a width of 100 metres. To the south, where the beach ends, there are coves next to the cliffs of the Sierra Helada which are difficult to access, but the seabed preserves more fauna and flora than in the more populated and touristic area of Albir.
It is situated in a semi-urban environment, with access by road. It has a seafront promenade and a delimited parking area.
Annual festival that brings together fans, critics, directors, actors, scriptwriters, technicians and professionals from various fields related to the world of the image and in which Juan Luis Iborra, alma mater of the meeting, heads a professional team. In July, the Alfaz del Pi Film Festival is held, which in 2013 reached its 25th edition. The Silver Lighthouse awards are presented.
